the-7-crucial-reiki-positions-for-healing-success

Giving Reiki treatments and using the right Reiki positions in the right order, the vital energies will be balanced and a better personal feeling will be achieved. The right Reiki positions for your hands are the important key.

Once a Reiki treatment is conducted, the Reiki positions of your hands have to be properly executed. Doing it properly and mentioning ‘Reiki’ before starting, will let the individuals give the subjective feeling of heat, coldness or pulsation. Basically Reiki can be applied on others or yourself. Importantly are the right Reiki positions, which will differ from problem to problem. If you are not a Reiki practitioner, this article will give you an idea on how to deal with Reiki positions.

The first position is the hand that is placed on the face. To do this, you should put your palms either on your own face or on the person who is receiving Reiki. The palms should form a cup over the eyes while the fingers are on the forehead. There must be no pressure at all but only a gentle touch.

Reiki positions that come in second include the hand on the crown on the top of the head. The hands must be on the sides of the head whereas the heels of the hands are located near the ears. Also, the fingertips must be able to touch the crown.

The back of the head is the third position. Form a cross by using your arms. One of the hands must be on the head while the other one is above the neck’s nape.

Touching of the heart and collarbone is the fourth Reiki hand position. Apply a V-like shape with the thumb and fingers. Make sure to easily hold your neck via the V formation and lower one of your hands and have it resting in between the collarbone and the heart.

The fifth Reiki positions include the jaw line and the chin as well. As before, your hands form a cup and let your chin rest in it. Let your hands wrap themselves on your jaw line. The next position includes your ribs. Put your hand on the upper portion of the rib cage and provide some support to the bended elbows. The other hand should be on the abdomen. Let your fingertips touch your tummy.

The seventh Reiki positions are at your pelvic zone. Gently put your hands on your pelvic bone and allow your fingertips to touch this area.

The next hand position concerns your shoulders. Assuming you treat yourself, bend your elbows and arms over the head and touch your shoulder blades with your hand. While your elbows are bent, put your hands onto the center part of your back.

As the standard procedure is to treat from head to the lower parts, the final position includes the lower back and the sacrum. Let your hands rest on your lower back. Then lower your arms and place them on the sacral area and then stay relaxed.

The main purpose of Reiki positions is to activate the energy flow of universal life force and bring balance in the different body and chakra areas. The above positions include always a chakra which is positioned in that body and gland area. The reason is to activate through the proper energy flow the related body part. Do it through the right Reiki positions.

four-ways-to-relieve-back-pain-with-yoga

The health of our back impacts our well-being in numerous ways. Anyone suffering from back pain has experienced just how debilitating back pain can be. As recurring discomfort turns everyday tasks into painful chores, a person’s mood, energy, and well-being often gets affected as well.

Yoga exercises for low back pain, upper back, shoulder or neck pain have recently drawn researchers’ attention as a natural treatment for back pain. Back pain often arises from chronic tension and imbalances in the soft tissues, and as a consequence, surgery and prescription drugs are relatively ineffective at resolving back problems. Yoga offers promise as an alternative treatment for back pain, precisely because it’s so effective at relieving tension and stiffness in the soft tissues, thereby targeting many back pain problems at their root.

In 2005, a study in the Annals of Internal Medicine reported that study participants who regularly practiced yoga stretches for back pain experienced more effective pain relief than did study participants who received instructions in proper back care. Recently, the American College of Physicians and the American Pain Society have recommended yoga therapy as a promising alternative modality for treating chronic back pain.

Yoga can help relieve low back pain, shoulder, or neck pain in four major ways:

1. Yoga tones and strengthens weak muscles. Yoga is particularly effective for toning and strengthening the body’s core muscles, which are critical for creating proper support for the spine and giving the back greater strength and stability. By increasing core stability and improving posture, yoga exercises for back pain decrease the pressure on the spine, a key element in creating lasting back-pain relief.

2. Yoga restores flexibility to the soft tissues. Chronically tight muscles can pull on the vertebrae and tug the spine out of alignment, in turn creating pain and strain. Yoga stretches are very effective at increasing the flexibility of the soft tissues, and this in turn releases strain caused by chronically tight muscles tugging on the spine. By stretching muscles and increasing flexibility, yoga helps release the pressure and relieve back pain.

3. Yoga improves circulation. By enhancing circulation, yoga improves oxygenation to body tissues. This increases the supply of nutrients to and removal of toxins from the soft tissues around the spine. Yoga exercises are particularly effective for this, because many yoga poses alternate between compression and release of pressure, which combined with deep breathing, floods the body with oxygen-rich blood. The new influx of blood removes toxins and delivers vital nutrients to the soft tissues. For people who work at a desk all day, this is particularly useful, as sitting at a desk for long hours will restrict blood flow and compress the spine. Yoga stretches the back, lengthens and decompresses the spine, and increases the circulation to the vertebrae and vertebral discs.

4. Yoga reduces stress. Finally, yoga may help combat back pain by inducing greater relaxation. With all the stresses of everyday life, our nervous system often becomes constantly engaged in “fight or flight” mode. In this mode, our muscles-and especially those around the spine-tighten up. This constriction frequently leads to neck tension, tension headaches, and recurring back pain. Yoga therapy helps settle the mind and create greater relaxation in the body, shifting us from “fight or flight” into the rejuvenating “rest and digest” state. In this relaxed state, the body no longer fights to maintain readiness for battle, but begins to heal itself.

The beauty of any holistic approach to health, such as yoga, is that it offers therapeutic side benefits, not side effects. Yoga frees the flow of vital energy in the body, increasing the overall health of the body. For this reason, even if you start practicing yoga to get relief from back pain , you may also find that you experience benefits in terms of improved organ health, better mood, greater emotional balance and overall greater happiness and well-being.
